Group Counseling

RURC Group Dynamics

  • 1 hour to 1.5 hour in duration

  • Meets once a week

  • 8 to 10 week increments

  • Telehealth and In person options

  • Members are prescreened

  •  Groups are closed( start and

  • end with the same members)

  • 7 to 10 members per group

The Goal of the group is to provide you with a basic understanding of your anxiety level, triggers, symptoms, and skills that will aid you in managing your anxiety.

The purpose of this group is  provide men a safe space to speak about topics with other men that impact their mental health and their lives that they ordinarily would not talk about in other spaces.   

  • Group type: Psycho educational & Support Group

Face care

The goal of the RURC self care group is to educate  you on the components of self-care, create and maintain customized self- care plans.

  • Group type: Psycho educational & Support Group

  •   Offered to Women, Men, and Teens

  • In person or telehealth

  • Duration 1.5

  • Leaders: Peer Support Specialist/ Intern/ Licensed Professional Counselors

The purpose of this group is to educate and bring awareness to the impact trauma has had on your life, while teaching you skills to help you cope with your trauma.

  • Psycho-educational and Support Group

  • Offered to Kids, Teens, Adults

  • Coed groups

  • Duration 1.5 hours

  • Facilitators:  Peer Support Specialist/ Intern/Counselor 

The Purpose of the grief share group is to provide people who are grieving with support and tools to help navigate grief in the midst of the pandemic

  • Psycho-therapy

  • Offered to: Kids, Teens, and Adults

  • Coed Groups

  • Duration 1.5 hours

  • Facilitators: Peer Support Specialist, Licensed Professional Counselors
