Sade was raised by a single mother.  One of the products of systemic racism is concentrated poverty, which can find drug use as a coping mechanism for those who are subject to these environments, and Sade’ parents were both victims of drug use and abuse. Of the many lessons urban environments teach, lessons from the experience of two drug-addicted parents taught Sade a lot and shaped the type of parent and person she has become.  Ms. Garr is drawn to people and seeks to find ways to highlight the bright spots she finds in people. She loves to see others achieve their goals and she encourages people through their life-journey.  Ms. Garr is divorced following 10 years of marriage. Her divorce gave her a sense of awareness that relationships evolve in ways that we don’t always expect.  Her new relationship now with the father of her children is an amazing expression of collaboration among two adults. Ms. Garr is the mother of four children and loves her family, traveling, hanging out and going out to eat with her friends, movie nights with her kids, and supporting her nephews and nieces at their activities.  As a result of her upbringing and life arrangement, she connects well with people of all different walks of life as her walk has taught her empathy, compassion and consideration for others.
